Your online donation will go towards…
$10 – provides a gift card for a small meal.
$30 – provides an unlimited use bus pass for a homeless person to get to work, and return to the emergency shelter to sleep at night.
$70 – provides a week of emergency shelter.
$100 – provides the uniforms/shoes/tools a homeless person are required to purchase before they can report to their new job.
$300 – $500 – provides funding to erase utility bill arrears.
$1000 – provides the deposit for a new apartment. Often times it takes homeless persons months to save enough money to pay the deposit and first month’s rent.
You can also choose to donate anywhere from $20 – $2,000 to become a donor/sponsor of our Annual Christmas Party
Our ultimate goal is to help our clients become self-sufficient. Securing permanent employment is one of the steps to self-sufficiency. Without committed partners this would not be possible.

Travelers Aid Society of Greater New Orleans is enlisting volunteers to assist with the various programs we offer. Volunteer staff will work in conjunction with key staff as it relates to our clients.

7:30 – 3:30 M, T, W, F
8:30 – 3:30 TH
Volunteers must be energetic, outgoing, people oriented, and knowledgeable about the City of New Orleans, its resources, and have strong verbal communication skills. Volunteers must complete an interview and application process.
Volunteers participate in a volunteer orientation session and ongoing training will be provided.
